This is my version of what I think happened after mockingjay.

This takes place after mockingjay and the rebellion. Katniss and Peeta live their lives together but have to fight through the hardships of love and enemies.

This is a short story about what life was like after the Mockingjay book ended.

[After Mockingjay] Katniss x Peeta After a few months with no sign of Peeta, Katniss begins to waste away. She doesn't eat properly, her nights are consumed with nightmares and she's slowly falling into a deep depression; much like her mother. Primroses start to appear around District 12, who is planting them?

What even was marriage? Was it nothing more than a piece of paper binding two people for the rest of their lives? Was it a promise to love only each other for eternity? Was it a symbol of love? Or was it simply a fad; a trap; something created by the government to keep the country in line? People made it whatever they wanted it to be. But, what it meant to me, I didn't know.

-Set After the Mockingjay- It's been twenty four years since the rebellion, which means that Panem has slowly been put back together again. The remaining Victors of the Hunger Games have moved on from their past time, and all now have peaceful life's, until now. Crestia Snow, the granddaughter of the former president, is out for revenge. She, and other Capitol Loyalist have formulated a force in order to take back Panem. Which only means one thing. The return of the Hunger Games. It is officially been a hundred years since the Dark Days, and now, without anyone knowing, the Loyalists have created a deliberate plan in order to take back what they think is rightfully theirs. And now, twenty five years later, a group of descendants will pay the price for the rebellion, and will be part of the suffering that is to take place on all who opposed the Capitol. Fanfic after mockingjay set in District 4!

This story is based on after Mockingjay. This story is all about the Epilogue. And we all know what happens in the Epilogue. This fanfic takes place 7 years after the War. Peeta and Katniss move on with their lives as a married couple. And so many unexpected things happen along the way. With all these events going on, will Peeta and Katniss get through them? Will they get their happy ending? WARNING: I wrote this story when I was 13 years old and it is very horribly written. It has lots of grammatical and spelling errors and it is undergoing some serious editing. Haha. Read at your own risk!

Nobody knew why she chose Gale. Somehow, she was able to look past the horrors of the way her little sister died and learned to accept that it wasn't Gale's fault. It surprised the world. The war ended 3 months ago, but it's never really been over for Katniss. Maybe it never will be. But when Katniss and Gale's relationship becomes toxic and dangerous, she's completely helpless. Gale walks out on her because of it, leaving her alone and paralyzed with guilt. The real war is just beginning. Soon, Peeta returns from his recovery in the Capitol expecting to find Katniss and Gale happily together. But when he finds her on the floor of her house, alone and nearly dead, he makes it his responsibility to save her. But because their relationship has grown apart, will Peeta be enough to mend the Girl on Fire when she burns herself out?
