This is a story about what happened to the Mellarks after Mockingjay. Gale Hawthorne, still full of fire, just became President. How will their lives adjust?

This story follow the capitol after the rebellion ended and a time of rebuilding took place through out Panem and the surrounding districts. The games were over but was the tyranny of the Capitol over in some people. Find out in Welcome to the Capitol.

My days are filled with me lying in bed and thrashing through nightmares. The days are dark and dull. I barely leave the house. Greasy Sae forces me to eat. She keeps me running. She cooks and cleans then leaves. I comply to eating then lie down once more. I have no one anymore. There's no point in taking care of myself anymore. I am no Mockingjay.

After the rebellion, Katniss goes back to District 12. But Peeta doesn't go with her. It's been almost a year since they've seen each other. What happens if Katniss doesn't have Peeta?

We all loved The Hunger Games, but Suzanne kinda left us wondering what happened between the end of the book and the epilogue. So this book is what I thought happened or at least hope.

When our eyes met, the memories all came rushing back. From throwing her the bread to saying goodbye at the Lightening Tree to the red plaid dress on the first day of Kindergarten. I remembered it all so much clearer, the shiny memories seemed to fade to so much dimmer terrors. But she's nearly dead. How can I convince her to go on, that life is still worth living. How can I reignite the fire that burns in the eyes of Katniss Everdeen, the girl who was on fire, without getting burned in the process. (My second After Mockingjay story. I just want to make one a little more true to the books. This is not discontinuing Help Me Make It Through The Night and Here I Go Again. I just want to write a different view of what could have happened.)
