A cozy mystery novel set in the Madras Meridian, a posh apartment complex in Chennai. A not so subtle parody of the two infamous detectives, Hercule Holmes however has his own methods. Tobacco pipes, magnifying glasses, boutonnières, he has got all the things a detective needs (except maybe a destined chronicler). So come along and watch as he goes on his adventures, solving murders and robberies in the most ridiculous fashion to finding his very own and much needed arch-nemesis. In the classical detective novel by Agatha Christie, Poirot revealed that the murderer of Roger Ackroyd is none other than Dr Sheppard. Poirot discreetly advises Dr Sheppard to commit suicide by consuming veronal but the story doesn't give information about how Dr Sheppard in-fact ended his life. The epilogue to 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' describes the life in the small village of King's Abbot after the discovery of the murder mystery. Read the story here and get to know.

Podczas wystawnego jubileuszu dyrektora muzeum, Telemachosa Paradamosa, prezentowany jest bezcenny eksponat - Cykladzki Idol, figurka sprzed czterech tysięcy lat, symbol wyspy i główne źródło finansowania placówki. Wieczór kończy się sukcesem, ale noc przynosi tragedię: w muzeum gaśnie światło, system alarmowy zostaje wyłączony, a Idol znika. Z każdym krokiem śledztwo ujawnia coraz więcej sprzeczności - tropy się wykluczają, a wokół Idola zaczyna narastać atmosfera klątwy. Autorka łączy styl sensacji w duchu Lee Childa i Dana Browna z kryminalną logiką Agathy Christie. W fabule splatają się wątki naukowe, historyczne i polityczne: Idol nie jest tylko artefaktem, ale też symbolem wyspy. Styl książki jest filmowy - krótkie sceny, szybkie dialogi, napięcie rosnące z rozdziału na rozdział. Leonie, jako główna bohaterka, wyróżnia się inteligencją, ironią i wewnętrzną siłą, kontrastując z chaotycznym, emocjonalnym światem greckiego muzeum.
