She was a nerd, a geek and a massive fan girl and fujoshi. She was the type of girl no one found pretty. Or at least that's what she thought. She was the type of girl that was far from ordinary in many ways. Yeah yeah stereotypical teenage love story, the popular person falls for the nerd? Usually somewhere that not everyone sees, like their back or chest, although some unlucky children have the quote tattooed across their forehead or other, equally bad places. There has never once been a child born without a quote, although many have very simple quotes, like "Hello" or "Sorry." These quotes are some of the most precious things to humanity. Why? This quote, this tattoo, indicates your soulmate. The quote indicates the very first thing that your future soulmate will say directly to you. (You can see why "Hey" could be an unfortunate quote now, right?) October 28, 1998. Charleston, South Carolina. John Henry Laurens was born. A perfectly healthy baby, but his parents were constantly worried about him, and very overprotective. Why? Because John didn't have a tattoo. January 11, 1999. Hundreds of miles away, in Charlestown, Nevis, a Caribbean island, another child is born. Alexander Hamilton. His mother cared for him relentlessly, and she always loved Alex's quote: "I love turtles!!!" The problem is, Alexander suffered selective mutism after his mother's death. Unable to speak to certain people, in certain situations, Alex realizes that it's going to be a challenge for him to find his soulmate. But Alexander Hamilton is not one to throw away his shot so easily.

Jade is a high school student that transfers because of family issues. There she meets a couple that seem to complete each other and obviously love each other, but something seems missing. She's knows the feeling what with feeling on most days like crap and that she doesn't really exist. Realizing that the couple's compatibility is none of her business, Jade goes on with her life. But... Why do these two seem not to want to leave her alone? (This story is not just fluffy. It starts out with Jade having feelings for different people and her not knowing how to deal with things. She's caught between a few different people and goes through some crap before she actually becomes happy.)

This is essentially my story of struggling with my gender identity and dysphoria. Not being being accepted by my parents and just coping with it all. This is ongoing considering I really don't know what is going to happen.

This story is heavily inspired by the song " devil town " by cavetown After three years after Donnie's death, Anthony starts hallucinating that his dead friend is actually still alive. In Ant's dreams they go to this place called 'Devil Town' , eventually, Ant conivnces his sibling, Tammy, and, his twin cousins Evan Patters and Whitney Patters to go to Devil Town with him. Devil Town is also his safe place, and he starts going there frequently, to the point of him being there most of the time. There might be alot of trigger warnings so if they hit too close to home, please immediately stop reading.
