Inkopolis, the city of color, home of inklings is about to celebrate it's most long honored traditions, the Splatfest. Unfortunately there has been a strange power outage about a week before Splatfest. Nobody cares and think the Splatfest will continue anyway but not a particular inkling named Reo. He was approached by an old Cuttlefish name Cap'n Cuttlefish who claims to know who is behind the power outage. Reo has agreed to help him save the zapfish that powered the city. Reo expects to help him and leave but once he learned to make a commitment as an Agent of the Squidbeak splatoon, the longer he wishes to stay and protect his home.

Two years ago Callie and Marie did their last splatfest. Although Marie was the winner, the two cousins did not hold a grudge. Despite that, they began to drift apart as they both began developing solo careers. One day Marie was able to get a three day vacation and left for Calamari County. Callie on the other hand could not come because of an important meeting. The two planned to meet on the second day of Marie's vacation. However, danger was lurking in Octo Canyon. Little did Callie know that may be the last time she will ever see Marie again. This story happens alongside the Wattpad story. Against the Tide. So this is a fluff fanfic of Agent 24 (Agent 3 × Agent 8). As you can see from the cover they're both male. And the title basically gives away the whole book, it's an adventure to find happiness.

This is a Marie x OC story taking place shortly after the final splatfest of the first game and going into the events of the second game. You take the possession of a male inkling named Gold he is a metallic gold inkling and is very skilled with the krakon-roller and splat dualies. Gold is relad the news to the Squid Sisters.

Two years later after DJ Octavio's defeat, the Octarians kidnapped Callie and stole the zapfish once again! Marie and Agent 3-F desperately seek for help, but when two new promising inklings appeared to help, one of them is keeping a dark secret from the agents. Will the new Squidbeak Splatoon be able to bring Callie and the zapfish back? And what is the mysterious agent 4 hiding from his teammates?
