What if Casita was too slow to save Mirabel? What strain would that take on la Familia Madrigal? What words would be said and what feelings would be had in their darkest hour? Most importantly, who would Mirabel be accompanied by as she watches her family fall apart over her loss? - I got this idea from a TikTok by @literallyrein and after a lot of very ~excited~ comment replies, here we are!

The cowardly but loyal Oscar Madrigal is a Bengal cat who lives with his extraordinary family, the Madrigals, hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. A whole new story

Mirabel Madrigal wakes up in an unrecognizable home with her uncle and a new family. As she grows through the rest of her teen years and early adulthood, she begins to despise her old family, while growing into her new one. Through confusion, judgement and misunderstandings, can Mirabel and the Madrigals learn to get along to accomplish the same goals? !TRIGGER WARNING! injuries, blood and gore, suicide and depression, sexual themes, violence, graphic topics, abuse, self harm, mental health issues, loss and death.

What if the casita failed to protect Mirabel? This story involves Mirabel's death as she failed to catch the candle. Can be a oneshot, or I can add more (depending on the amount of readers)

With the ones who truly love them and a miracle candle created by their love for one another, Juano and Mirabel couldn't be happier in their new home: Milagro de Amor.
