Rosita has found herself separated from her family after a tragic event causes them to flee their home. While escaping, she climbs over a tall mountain and finds a hidden village filled with magic and wonder! There, she meets a mischievous shapeshifter who just wants to be friends and make her smile. Throughout, they face many complications, emotions and experiences that may turn friendship to much more.

When Lucia, the niece of the determined and old-fashioned Adella, comes to visit Encanto, the village becomes restless. Because not only is Lucia a unique little personality who doesn't let anything sit on her, but she also gets along very well with the loner Bruno Madrigal, whom most in Encanto ratherish avoided. Immediately a deep friendship develops between the two. Bruno had never felt so happy, truly understood, as if he were spending time with Lucia. Together they not only build a new room for Bruno, they even develop a play, a passion of both. But what will happen to their friendship when Lucia returns home and leaves the village of Encanto behind? Will their friendship remain, or can it even be called friendship anymore at this point?
