AU. Discontinued as of November 2020. Deviations from canon (as of May 1, 2018): -Luke's appearance is slightly older. -Anakin is alive. (Of course Anakin's alive.) -Rey is a Skywalker. Ben Solo (Kylo Ren)'s slaughter of the New Jedi Order still occurs due to Snoke's influence. Under guilt for his actions (which led to the death of many, including, in his assumption, the loss of his daughter), Luke Skywalker still goes into hiding on Ahch-To. However, this time, he's not alone. And more than a decade after father and son's seclusion from the larger galaxy, Rey will find them. Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars. (Obviously.)

I've seen on DeviantArt a picture where Luke lies at the ground. The artist, sorry I've forgotten his name, stated that Luke has felt the annihilation of the Hosnian Prime system. In this moment the idea for this story was born.

With the First order Destroyed, a new status quo is needing to be discovered in the galaxy. Follow the new Jedi Order, led by Rey Skywalker and Finn Dameron, as they rebuild despite the meddlings of flamboyant but fearsome pirates.

Soon after becoming the supreme leader after the sudden death of his predecessor, Kylo Ren uses his newfound power to seek someone he thought long since lost. With help from his uncle's diary, he finds her, the darkest apprentice the sith had ever produced that had just so happened to end up in the hands of a jedi. Kylo, however, remembered her a little differently than the monster everyone made her out to be. Ben Solo had fallen in love with the apprentice, the one that was always back of Luke's class. She may have been ten years his senior, but he knew then that he would love her until the light of the very last star went out. He made her a promise before she met her fate that he would find her, he would save her. 20 years after the apprentice was dipped in carbonite, Kylo Ren finds her once more, and frees her without a second thought. But can he tell her of the past, of the things she has missed, of him? I am a reylo shipper but I loved the idea of this story so trying to get it out as much as I can. This is instead of TROS because I wrote it before that movie came out.

**Spoiler for The Last Jedi** Post TLJ. Recovery from the war is taking a toll on both Rey and Kylo Ren, and as much as they try to avoid each other, their connection continues to bind the two together. But with every passing moment, they begin to realize the only comfort they find is in each other. After all, it's hard to suffer alone when the cure is only one call away.
