After ten years in prison, Yancy is suddenly taken from the closest thing to a home he had for a top-secret government experiment. For years now, higher-ups had been justifying human experimentation by using inmates in prisons as the subjects. Though Yancy is a bit more than they bargained for, it seems. As he tries to come to terms with the past, he is forced to act on the quickly approaching future. With Illinois' help, survival seems possible. But is just surviving enough?
