When the Sleeper discovers an ancient legend promising immortality, known as the Scorn of Immortality-one that requires the youngest of his bloodline to come to him of their own free will-he sets a trap Aru won't be able to ignore. Brynne, being the icon she is, forces Aiden to talk to Aru which he uses as an opportunity to pretend to hate her.He thinks that if he can get her to hate him, she won't come to save him-convinced that breaking her heart is the only way to protect it. But Aru, already drowning in guilt over her father's actions, comes to attempt to save him anyways. She manages to break him out, unknowingly right where the Sleeper wants her to be. Aru Shah was just a normal teenager trying to live a normal teenager life. But apparently the universe didn't want her to. Her life took a turn for the worse in just a few days of her dad's death. Everything went haywire, she was left with nothing but the little hope of her joy. And she had to continue her life like nothing happened. That was until her fate decided to make her crash on to Aiden Acharya - a quiet, dark, broody guy who always sits at the back of the class and looks like he has insomnia. A Human AU

This AU is going to be like the book "Letters to the Lost". If you haven't read it you definitely should. All characters go to Roshani Chokshi (except if I make some of my own). Almost all of the plot goes to Brigid Kemmerer (she wrote Letters to the Lost). There may be some inappropriate and mature language (barely any but I just wanted to put it out there). Aiden Acharya - A guy who has a record and does community service for crashing his dad's pick up truck into a building. And has dad issues and step dad issues, well basically family issues. Aru Shah - A girl who lost her mother, and refuses to touch any photography equipment again. And locks herself away from the world. These two meet in the most unlikeliest way possibly, by writing letters to each other and keeping them in a cemetery. Crazy right? This is just some random Aru Shah fanfic that came to mind. It will probably mostly be Aruden. This is also my first time writing for the public, so... I apologize if it's a bit cringy or crappy.
