"Let hell reign..." Atreia, a land created by Aion. Humans roamed freely in it, happiness all around. And then, drakan, creations also by Aion who started to act as nightmares towards the humans fought them. A mysterious substance called aether arose and it caused some of the drakan to ascend. The humans got in contact with the aether and they ascended as well. The first 12 humans to ascend were called the Empyrean lords, and the first 5 drakan to ascend were called the Dragon Lords. The Empyrean lords called for a truce with the Dragon Lords, and they rejected. The drakan took down the Tower of Eternity and caused Atreia to split into two lands. The Empyrean lords split up to the north and south, and two Empyrean lords died protecting the Tower of Eternity. Years passed and the south received a star for their warmth, while the north was forever cold. The south was called Elysea, and the Empyrean lords that went there were called the Seraphim lords. Meanwhile, up north, it's been called Asmodae. Their Empyrean lords were called the Shedim lords. The drakan's name changed to Balaur, and ever since then, many humans have ascended. They are now called daevas. They have also discovered a rift that took them to the Abyss, where they tried to seal away the Balaur once before. It was created by the destruction of the Tower of Eternity. It was a land that was in between Elysea and Asmodae. Now, they're all in for the fight for aether. Who will be the last faction standing? In this story, a group started by some young Asmodian daevas venture out to Elyseas and meet new recruits. But when forbidden love conflicts, along with a secret spy sent out by a Shadow Judge that doesn't approve of what they're doing, will the group fight for the sake of others, or break apart when it hurts their reputation? Faith and Arms! Welcome to the World of Atreia! This is going to be the fifth Fan-made work I am working and is to be the first to be posted here in Wattpad. This story is set about the MMORPG AION from NCSoft, though I will create my own plot line or side-story from the original game's rich lore. But I have all the due thanks to the game developers as almost everything written here is from them and the remaining some is from all my friends whom I played with for 6 years since the game came here and to whom I got their support in writing this story and sharing me some of their perspectives on the game from the other faction. Wings of Atreia follows the minor but climactic event of the Abyss War where a lowly mercenary was ascended to become one of the glorious warriors known as "daevas" despite his heritage. He will be trained to become a master Assassin in the hopes to meet and defeat the master Assassin of the opposing faction in a deadly clash of swords, daggers, and veil of shadows. Unbeknown, a deep terror is awakening that is ancient and powerful: the Balaur will again arise and invade Atreia while it is caught up in the civil war. What must be done to stop ultimate destruction when both factions are pitted against each other? Will the present hostilities be raised to own Atreia? Will they be able to stop the invasion of the Balaur?
