Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. * * * She was the daughter of a high ranked general, who happened to be the Fire Lord's son's most trusted soldier. Due to her father's close bond with the heir of the Fire Nation, she was sent to live with the royal family following her mother's passing and her father being sent out to fight in the century old war. Having at first had many doubts about living in the royal palace, she soon became used to the environment; though her fear for the Fire Lord was constant. She grew close to a certain prince, who would soon become her best friend, while having a very love/hate relationship with his sister and her friends. These were the only people she ever knew her age, the closest people she had to friends. She was banished along with the Prince, for protecting him in the Agni Kai against his father. But as time went on, her secret was exposed, and many bonds would be broken. Scars are not just physical. *Contains strong language Best rankings: #2 in zuko #3 in characterxreader #4 in zukoxreader #5 in atla #11 in xreader #16 in air #19 in fanfiction #21 in sokka

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, I was soon to be discovered as the next Avatar, soon, my father and the men of my tribe journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Fire Nation, leaving me and my brother to look after our tribe. Soon, the world will be given new hope, because the Avatar will return to save the world.

The year is 253 AG, and we have a new Avatar named Kairo. As he struggles with airbending, he faces his first mission. Kairo, Gyila, and Mona face a new threat from the Northern Water Tribe, much like the Unalaq incident. Only this time, his grandson Varran wants to free Vaatu, who has been growing inside of Raava this whole time. Will these three young adults be able to defeat Vaatu? Or will the world be caught in the darkness? This is a fanfiction that is set after Avatar Korrra's demise. Most of the characters are original characters. I do not own the ATLA & LoK universe by any means. Most of the plot is canon. Maybe a few adjustments can be made along the way.

A hundred years ago when Fire Lord Sozin attacked the Southern Air Temple, he not only planned to destroy the Airbending element itself, but wanted to eradicate the Air Nomads from existance. Killing the Avatar would ensure his victory, but he did not account for one thing. Kyukiri. Air Nomad Princess Kyukiri was the eighteen year old sister of Aang and she possessed an unprecedented, raw connection to the Spirit World. During the night of the invasion when Aang ran away with Appa, Monk Gyatso took Kyukiri and locked her inside the Air Temple Sanctuary with all the Past Avatar statues to protect her. When Aang used the Avatar state to freeze himself, he also froze Kyukiri.

Now escaping with a wounded-rare-to-find flying bison, she must learn to trust others, even if that breaks her code for survival...

Taken place in Book 3: Fire. Azula may have been mentally unstable, but she was not stupid. She has tried time and time again to get rid of the Avatar and that pesky brother of hers but failed when their group managed to get the best of her. But to secure her place on the throne, she'll use their weaknesses against them, and it must be done discreetly, quietly. Zuko is surprised and perplexed to find the assassin sent to kill him was none other than his ex-girlfriend. And yet, how could he have fallen in love with the one who tried to kill him? A/N: this is not a full novel, merely a short fanfic idea, I did not initially have everything fully plotted out like I would with a normal original story. DISCLAIMER: I do not own the A:TLA series or any characters except for a few I DO NOT OWN COVER ART

REWRITING: I noticed that I am very far off on facts and I want to recycle this story and make it better. I'll still be leaving this version up as far as I have it. Tenzin is a nervous loner living in the Southern Air Temple. With his father gone visiting the Northern Air Temple, his anxiety attacks are getting worse. Although his mentor and respective uncle Monk Kwan is watching over him, he is feeling the constant pressure to join the young airbenders to the Western and Eastern Air Temples for the Season, to court and legally bond with the females there. But how could he reproduce and risk passing down the same fate he has to a child? How could his timid personality ever attract a female airbender, especially with the limited experience he has associating with them? But his curiosity gets the better of him as he decides to go with the young airbenders, but only to meditate in the famous Meditation Circle at the Eastern Air Temple. When he accidentally disrupts a female airbender's traditional week-long meditation before her Anointment Ceremony, the last thing he expects is to make a friend. But the upbeat, cheerful, forgiving yet unforgiving young woman won't take a no to a game of airball for an answer. Will she still be able to accept him when he tells her what he is? No one else has, so how could she be any different? Is there a possibility of a real Air Nomadic life for him? This is my own idea of how Aang's parents met and their relationship, and the Air Nomad's traditional way of reproducing. If you had your own idea of how it should have been and you're upset about how mine is completely different, then I apologize but I'm excited to write my story. If, during the book you have any ideas or opinions you would like be to add, I'm completely open to them. Please don't take my ideas or my story. I'm only using the facts that I've found online, the show, or from my own imagination. Credit goes to Mike and Bryan for their amazing show.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Kanna used to tell us stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed him most, he failed. After spending 83 years trying to avenge his nation, Avatar Aang was defeated. He spent his lifetime doing whatever he could to stop the Fire Nation from unbalancing the elements further, but he overall was too caught up in his own revenge, heartbroken over the loss of the nomads. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, our Chief and the men of our tribe journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Fire Nation, leaving his two young children, Katara and Sokka, the grandchildren of Kanna, to look after our tribe. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Southern tribe as predicted, all the waterbenders having been killed before there was a chance, the cycle broken. But that all changed today, the day of my 16th birthday, when Kanna told me that I am the Avatar.
