The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. A tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Lü Bu the son of the Fire Nation's greatest war general and Northern Royalty alongside his friends Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

Our world has changed. It will never be like it was before. There are no benders anymore, no Avatar. They've all been wiped out. No one knows what bending is. No one knows if the Avatar ever existed. People learned to rely on technology and weapons to protect themselves. Some of the remaining benders have been imprisoned by groups of people. Benders and non-benders combined and created the strongest and most powerful military force, the Predominant Order. Their only purpose was to conquer the world. That's at least all we know, according to the plans of their Leader. There have been rumors that their Leader had found a way to unlock powers of bending that never existed at a normal bender before. Since Avatar Korra's death, it is believed that the Cycle has come to an end, but there is an old prophecy. A Prophecy that foretells that the Last Avatar will be from the Earth Kingdom... Air. Water. Earth. Fire. Long ago, the air nomads lived together in harmony, and it all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. I believed it was my fault that he vanished. I ran away from the southern air temple, the only woman to ever live in the southern temple, as a young adult. This is my story.

Two thousand years ago, there was an Airbender Avatar named Aang. Now, two thousand years after Avatar Aang's death, there is an Earthbender named Ren. Ren doesn't know that he'll die two days after he finds out he's the Avatar. He also doesn't know that he'll be killed by the next Avatar's mother. But during the time, he receives news that his sister, Princess Azula, has escaped in the mental hospital she was admitted to and plots to take her revenge and take her throne back. Can the 4 Benders along with Sokka, Suki, Mai, Ty Lee and Iroh stop Azula before it's too late?

Avatar AU where Aang accepted that he was the Avatar and stayed to study with the air nomads in order to begin mastering the elements, but was killed in Fire Lord Sozin's surprise attack. What would have happened if Aang hadn't run away? Who is supposed to save the world now?

So, this isn't really a fanfic as much of a collection of OCs and some ideas for what stories could happen. I know we're going to get the next avatar at some point in the future, but until that day comes, here's a concept for what kind of characters I might make for a new team avatar if it were up to me. Of course it's not up to me, as I don't own avatar: the last airbender or Legend of Korra. I just thought it might be fun to share some concepts with y'all and see what you think.

An island exist, it's size no bigger than 20KM², on it's left side, the Moon half submerged. On the right, the Sun, also half submerged. In front of it, high mountains whence the cold air flows. Behind it the unforgiving desert, wherein none hast ever escaped. On the middle of the island, a peach tree stood tall, underneath it could be seen; a man drinking tea. Now 30,000 years into the future, the spirit of Light, Raava, duels her brother the spirit of Darkness, thus starting the Harmonic Convergence. Such an event only happens once per 10,000 years, however this time was the only time it was different. Nearing their ten thousand years of battle, Raava and Vaatu appeared before the Sacred Peach Tree, within the Plane of Tawazun. Both were shocked, since none know what is happening. The man drinking tea calmly explains to them what is going on, and though they were certainly befuddled, they still listened. As they leaves, the words he said plague their minds, until a certain humans broke their fighting. And thus is what the man said; "Once the Convergence reached it's conclusions, only then shall the world change, and thy shall reveal thyself to the world thou hast preserve.
