Nobody pays attention to the details until it's way too late. The routine becomes normal, and nobody ever questions it. We feed our egos on that toxic feeling of believing we're the main characters in our own movie, opening the door to a change in minds that were never prepared to digest the world we've inherited. From there, hidden feelings sprout, eventually mutating into something that once seemed unimaginable trapped in the classic obsession of thinking that sitting back with your arms crossed and waiting for everything to fix itself on its own is a valid option. It's pure emotional immaturity disguised as wisdom to impress others and, along the way, fool ourselves while trying to fit into an environment where empathy wears away in silence, shrinking until it becomes a distant echo.
Coming to this point, the big question is: is mastering our own mental domain really the goal, or will the truly difficult part be surviving it? Thoughts can drift toward the unusual, though... what even is normal? What has always been? Maybe it's better to just stay prepared. Just in case at any moment, we need to run, and we find out we no longer even know how to recognize evil-even when it's staring us right in the face.
