In other words, an Ajin is immortal because they will always revived after death. Thus, people didn't see them as humans. Nagai Kei is the most recent Ajin found in Japan. He is now hunted by people who believed they will get a huge bounty for handing him in. This makes him frustrated and in constant running. Until one day, he mistakenly enters a area. There, he met a girl by the name L/N Y/N. A mysterious girl who's able to see the black ghost summoned by an Ajin. This is due to something that happened to her. But she's still isn't sure if she is an Ajin, or an ordinary human. Nagai Kei is known to never care for anything aside from his main goal. Ever wondered what it would be like to not die? In this society, so many people oppress the lucky ones that can't, "The Ajin". They are abused, ripped of their rights and experimented on by the government that hides such inhumanity. They are considered monsters, rumoured rewards from the government and are looked at as an extraterrestrial creature which shouldn't have existed. What people don't understand is that if you don't give them hell, they won't use their gifts negatively. From all this oppression, terrorism would rise from years of planning by one man, The Man in the Hat, A.K.A Sato. Murasa Akabara is a teenager in her last year, third year, of high school, the same class as Kei Nagai, a future Ajin and refuge. She discovers her gift when she ultimately kills herself because of the pressure from her family to be a famous doctor, surgeon or scientist. She finds life boring and uninteresting until her mundane life comes to an end. Broadcast on news channels everywhere, hunted for not being human, experiencing a life she didn't wish for. Now Murasa wishes for a calm, quiet life where she can settle down. Because of this, she wants to help give a future to Ajins around the nation so she joins the Man in the Hat. Will she ever get a quiet life as she wishes?
