Soulmate AU- when one is in pain or is feeling great waves of emotion, their soulmate will share the pain and emotions as well. Akaashi is a boy who doesn't really care about soulmates, while Bokuto doesn't know a thing about them. A drawing inspired all of this (The drawing is on the cover) I decided that I would elaborate on it and put my own spin on it and basically make it into my own story!

I'm fine. He always said that. But the truth is he isn't fine, he's in pain, he's suffering, but he keeps saying 'I'm fine' so he won't have to explain. So he wouldn't have to explain how ever since his mother died he hasn't been fine. His dad started drinking and abusing him. He lost all of his friends. He gets bullied, he just wants to die but for some reason he can't. He's afraid and he doesn't want them to win this fight so he keeps going, even though every breath he takes he feels like is a waste, he still goes. For his mom, for his best friend that died years ago, and for himself. The words 'I'm fine' hold such a big meaning to him.

A new school. New people. A new and very unfamiliar place. These are all things that Akaashi Keiji disliked about moving to a new neighborhood. It was never his choice to move. Outgoing was never a common word in his vocabulary. Calm and stoic on the outside, but struggled on the inside. His parents always finding a reason to fight with each other didn't help. Holding in his emotions wasn't a permanent solution, this started to negatively affect him. He pushes people away without a second thought, never opening up or even taking the time to make friends. No one could break down his walls. Maybe there will come a day when someone finally hears his silent cries for help, who might that person be?
