"A star shines its brightest, when it's starting to collapse." Another short Deidara fanfic, in an alternate AU, about what happened right before he set off for his final mission. I couldn't bring myself to write a Deidara x Reader just yet, so I created an OC, Hisakata. I've posted this on instagram (@dei.dara) already, but I've modified this a bit. Don't we all love bittersweet moments and hopefully-subtle plot twists? The dialogue from "prologue" was inspired by the anime Kakegurui. Please let me know what ya think!

Correct me if I'm wrong, Naruto fans, but I found it interesting how Tobi wasn't there. It had me thinking would Deidara tell Tobi to run, to save his subordinate's life? To save him the pain of seeing what he was about to do? I don't know. I may be reading way too much into it, but a writer's ignorance is bliss. During their mission Hime and Shinju found four lost children in the woods. But those kids aren't normal children, they are members of the Akatsuki, but like their 4 year old versions, without any memory. Hime ans Shinju decide to take care of Sasori, Deidara, Hidan and Kakuzu, while Hime looks after Sasori and Deidara, Shu is going to take care of Hidan and Kakuzu. But those kids aren't that easy to handle as two girls expected them to be!

When Sasori tries to leave the Akatsuki, Pain sentences him to death. Deidara is in love with Sasori and can't let this happen. What will happen when he confesses his love to his partner?
