The desperation in his voice was misplaced and as his eyes glanced over my face I knew he was just as broken as I was. That kiss, those caresses-the feeling of his skin against mine had shattered our perfect friendship. There was no turning back now; having him was the only thing that would make me whole. . . . . I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. But there's a story behind everything.
