Been inspired by Fruits Basket alot recently, so I thought to try and write my own fanfic. Hope you enjoy! :)

When Yuki's twin sister, Yumi returns to Japan after 3 years in America things start to change. Both in good ways and bad. With her recent past catching up to her things take a turn for the weird. Summary: Just what is so special about Tohru Honda? Akito wants to know. He invites her to the Main House for a chat one afternoon, quickly finding that, much to his abhorrence, the more time he spends with her, the more he starts to enjoy her company. Author's Note: This story, for anyone who may have seen it before, is also posted on fanfiction.net. It is my personal rendition of the would-be second season of the Fruits Basket anime, and I am hoping to gain a wider audience by posting it to Wattpad. Now before anyone flips out on me, I want to make it clear that yes, I KNOW Akito is a woman. I've seen the Fruits Basket anime and read the manga, both more than once. In the manga Akito is introduced as a man but is revealed to be a woman much later on. In the anime, though, he is clearly a guy. And also incredibly hot... ...I didn't say that. In beginning this story I first asked myself the question: How would the Fruits Basket anime have been different from the manga if it had continued with Akito as a male? I kept getting these images in my head of Akito and Tohru spending more time together, and then I thought: What if she somehow managed to win him over, too? What if he fell in love with her? The more I tossed around the idea, the more I liked it, and thus "To Melt a Frozen Heart" was born. I can only hope that I have succeeded in keeping this novel in the same spirit as the original Fruits Basket story, as it is intended to be read as an immediate continuation of the anime. Katsumi Sohma is the little twin sister to Momiji Sohma, like her brother, she is possessed by the year of the rabbit. As a result their mother resented them, choosing to forget her children. After their mother left them, Katsumi assumed the roll of caring for a gravely sick Akito. Katsumi quickly realized her mistake, Akito mentally and physically abused her along side her cousin Yuki. The two were inseparable, sharing the same scarring past. That is, until Yuki abandoned her, leaving Katsumi to face the wrath of Akito alone. She eventually fell silent, no longer capable of uttering a word. Shigure saves her, removing her from Akito's home and taking her into his. What would have happened if Momiji confessed his feelings first before Kyo had the chance. This story takes places when Momiji is in 2nd year of 3, right after his curse broke with Akito. The growing feelings he had for Tohru was boiling beyond the point of no return, realizing what he has to do. No matter what or who he had to hurt. He was finally able to be selfish about himself and express his feelings to Tohru. For the purpose of this story, Kyo ends up with Kagura after she confesses her feeling to him where they played as kids. This is just a love story this is not a mature fanfic.
