It's an aftermath after season five (last episode), where Fukuchi is defeated but a new challenge comes up. Akutagawa will be alive again but struggles with his thoughts about Dazai, Chuuya misses his old partner and Dazai has a self reflection on what he did to those two. They are brought together again when the Port Mafia and the ADA become allies to destroy another organization that is threatening the whole city of Yokohama.

An unknown attacker hits Akutagawa with an ability that de-ages him six years back to the age he was when he first met Dazai. Dazai being the only person Akutagawa knows at this ages, is forced with the task of looking after the fourteen year old until they can find a way to get him back to normal. As Dazai cares for Akutagawa, he reflects on his past and sees how he has a second chance to do better, whilst Dazai deals with his atonement, the task of reversing Akutagawa's condition get more difficult and things don't appear so simple as it seems.

Akutagawa's confession pierced right through the weretiger's soul. Truely, how cruel could this world be? To have barely lived your life, and have it pulled from underneath you like a rug? Akutagawa was undoubtedly not a good person. But that didn't mean he was a bad person. Even so, the thought of him dying, made Atsushi's chest feel uncomfortably tight. "I don't want you to die either. Not here."

Dazai has decided to do a joint training session with Akutagawa and Atsushi and aims to do it as a new kinder man. What he refuses to acknowledge is how his former subordinate would react to seeing Dazai reassure and help Atsushi when he messes up instead of getting punished like Akutagawa did in the past. Dazai soon realises he's messed up and wants to make things up to Akutagawa. Or Akutagawa feels hurt seeing Atsushi treated differently to him and Dazai wants to apologize for that.
