So this is the first book in my Aladarius headcannon series. The story starts where Alador and Darius are teens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darius has a secret. He is hopelessly, agonizingly in love with his best friend. Alador is a beautiful, brilliant, grease-covered mess, and every single brush of their shoulders sends a jolt of lightning down Darius's spine. But Darius would rather die than risk admitting his feelings and losing the one person who truly matters. Alador has a secret, too. He's completely convinced that he's nothing more than an awkward, unworthy tag-along to the charismatic, handsome Darius. He's sure Darius only tolerates him out of pity. Two best friends. She was adopted by Darius Deamonne when she was four and she doesn't remember her biological parents. This is her journey with Luz and coming to terms with the severity of the emperors schemes.
