So this is the first book in my Aladarius headcannon series. The story starts where Alador and Darius are teens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darius has a secret. He is hopelessly, agonizingly in love with his best friend. Alador is a beautiful, brilliant, grease-covered mess, and every single brush of their shoulders sends a jolt of lightning down Darius's spine. But Darius would rather die than risk admitting his feelings and losing the one person who truly matters. Alador has a secret, too. He's completely convinced that he's nothing more than an awkward, unworthy tag-along to the charismatic, handsome Darius. He's sure Darius only tolerates him out of pity. Two best friends. One massive miscommunication. And a library hideout that's suddenly feeling way too small. Luz attempts to confess, in the middle of the night. It doesn't go as planned. Something I had In my notes for a while and thought I'd share it here.
