Cynthia was done. After a chance meeting with some incredibly handsome wizards the young muggle woman is whisked into the thralls of war. Can this so called 'muggle' do anything to protect her new friends and family? Not according the these Wizards. Oh, how wrong they are.

Nobody really knew why she didn't like being called by her first name, it only being since she left school that she became insistent on being addressed purely by her surname. However, one horrific event would explain the entire story. this will be a short story but I haven't quite decided of how many chapters just yet :) enjoy!

There's something everyone is ashamed of. Many times it's the way a certain body part appears and other times it's a family member. The thing I was most ashamed of was how I wasn't enough for my own father, Sirius Black. He had lost me for years, but when the opportunity arose to have me back, he sneered and told me I wasn't enough. For that, I was ashamed of myself. I should have been ashamed about who had actually raised me. I'm not talking about my uncle, who loved me more then anything, but rather my stepfather, the man everyone was hiding from me. He was said to be an evil man, but he loved me, which had to make him at least slightly good. So why would I be ashamed of a man like that? -------------------------------------------------------------- Ivy Hamilton, known to her true friends and family as Ivory Black, had spent the better part of her summer prepping potion ingredients for her uncle, Severus Snape, as punishment for what happened at the end of her third year. However, it's time for Severus to return to Hogwarts and Ivy is heading to spend her last two weeks of summer break with the Malfoys. It was the perfect end to a somewhat boring summer. Or at least it was supposed to be. After the devastating events at the Quidditch World Cup, Ivy is left burned and scarred, with more questions then answers. Heading back to Hogwarts was the last thing she wanted, but there everything seemed right in the world with her friends by her side and her classes preparing her for a life outside the castle walls. At least it did until she laid eye on the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. With the appearance of the Dark Mark and her new professor, Ivy seems to be thrown into a darker world, one her entire family has been trying to hide from her.

Hi. Just thought about why Alastor Moody became the man he did, and came up with a cute story (well at least I think it is cute). It is about him and his secret daughter. Hopefully this ends up not being a total disaster :) The first chapters may be short, but they will get longer :) Hope you enjoy! PS I chose to write about Moody as there isn't a lot of backstory in the books, films, or in the fanfic community x

Darbi Black, has always grew up not remembering who her family was. She was taken away by Voldemort when she was only a baby. Voldemort always told her that her family didn't like her, but that was not the case. When her mother died, she lived with her father who loved her very much and cared for her the best he could. But when he went to Azkaban for murder, she had no one to care for her. Dumbledore thought it would be best if she went to live with Mr and Mrs. Amos but when Voldemort got his hands on her, that's when things went wrong. She always thought she was Voldemort's daughter and this was how life was and will always be but she was wrong.

Ok, so it's not really definitive. It's actually almost entirely opinion based. But please, read, discuss, and give your feedback. There's even a list of criteria for you to play along if you'd like, and I'd love to hear how your list differs from mine.
