Monica Jones-Kirkland lives with her father and aunt in a quaint London house. What she doesn't know is the secret that runs in her family. Every year on the same day Uncle Allistor comes over drunk and gets into a yelling match with Monica's father. The reason is almost three hundred years old, but for now Monica only knows the extent of the loss on her father.
