San Francisco 2018:
The earthquake of 2016 devastated the west coast – from Seattle to San Diego, the destruction was more than anyone could have been prepared for. Millions of lives were lost and the United States government closed off the entire zone. With no structure, the gangs took over giving people little choice; join one for protection at the cost of your free will or try to survive the harsh environment on your own.
R.J. Parker was one of the ‘lucky’ survivors, forced to live in the university who attended before his world fell apart. A pre-med student, he’s been using his medical skills to help those in need… but only if they can find him. In the two years that has passed since the earthquake, R.J.’s medical knowledge has grown, along with an affinity for music. To his own surprise, he’s been able to cure illness and treat injuries that are well beyond anything he was taught in school. Something’s happened to him – he just doesn’t know what.
One night, armed soldiers storm the his home, taking him hostage and dragging him to Alcatraz. Once he’s there, he’s left for dead only to discover he’s not alone. Nikki Reynolds, his new neighbor, was searching him out, hoping he could heal her. She too has her own secrets and powers she can’t even begin to understand.
Only by working together will they be able to overcome the prison and the horrors it holds, both physically and mentally. New allies, enemies, and information about what’s happened to them will be discovered along the way as R.J. and Nikki try their best to Escape: Project Alcatraz.
