"Here" Soon tattooed arms took the stuff from me and Remington crouched in front of me and finished cleaned my knee the rest of the way then he put cream on it holding my leg firmly every time I tried jerking away out of pain. I sighed and gave in, my eyes tracing over his concentrated face. Small bags under his eyes from sleep deprivation. I was so distracted by his features that I didn't notice his eyes moved to me, and they were getting closer. I jumped slightly when I felt his lips on mine but kissed him back. "Done staring?" He smirked, pulling away. "Sorry," I blushed, looking away. He chuckled and grabbed my face playfully. "Don't be. I'd stare at this beautiful face too," he smirked. I rolled my eyes and put my hand over his face, and shoved it away. He grinned at me before putting the bandages on my knee, and he kissed it. South of Moosonee is an autobiographical memoir narrated through the scattered memory of my youth growing up in Kapuskasing. It is styled in a way to mimic my thought process of the time. The character I am speaking through is coloured by my past and present mind. It leans towards events based detail, but moves quickly from one thought to another, as a teenage mind seems to do. I am hoping others who grew up in Kapuskasing at the time will contribute their memories and offer some visual documentation for that specific time. It is a interesting process and I am excited to be part of it.
