She's pours herself a drink to drown the pain. She's hurting inside so alcohol keeps her sane. She takes the rum and presses it against her lips. She chugs the bottle sip by sip. Alcohol is an escape from her horrific thoughts in her head. To be drunk for a couple of hours and not want to be dead. The taste so good that leaves a burning sensation on her throat. Alcohol is one of the ways she needs to cope. She tried self harm but people noticed the marks. The scars on her arms noticeable and dark. Self harm wasn't the answer when people started to find out. Her parents would question "what's all this about". I am sorry mom and I am sorry dad. I know you don't understand the way I am and why I am sad. When you found my bottles and suicide letters. All you tried to do was make me feel better. I can't automatically feel okay. It's a constant war with depression every day.

Another poem/ short story thing. Inspired by The A Team, How to Save a Life, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. It's a weird mix of songs and shows, but they inspired this poiem and I actually think it turned out really well. Please let me know if you like it :)
