This story is just as it sounds. Darcy is getting ready to go to her first day at high school and she is very excited. Her step mum works there, which at times can be useful and other times just plain embarrassing. Darcy starts to make breakfast and soon realised that this day is going to be harder then she thought.

Take two parties, add two friends and one crush, sprinkle with one mean girl, put fingers over your eyes and cringe. MacKenzie Maxwell is finally getting used to her new school and new life. She has made some real friends, and her major crush Nic has even asked her to be science partners, how cool! But when MacKenzie overhears mean girl Sasha bragging about going to the School Social with Nic, she is gutted and decides to go to her little sister's party instead. Then, after all the confusion, she discovers Sasha was lying. Could her dream of going to the social with Nic still come true?
