This short story is inspired by what I saw lately on instagram and other social media related to Good Omens' season 3 and its BTS, particularly, my creative flair was stimulated by the page @tennantism on instagram (love that page with both my body and soul I swear-) (also posted on ao3!!) In this one shot, Crowley's still dealing with the sense of emptiness that seems to be haunting him ever since Aziraphale left him for Heaven. While he tries to handle his contrasting feelings, something unexpected happens. Someone, a familiar face enters the bookshop, and meets his gaze. And perhaps, this time a nightingale might be singing in Berkley Square.

Ellie pensa a Beth, a Mark, a Chloe e alle loro vite distrutte, ma soprattutto pensa a Danny, a quel bambino morto troppo presto e a come avrebbe potuto impedire che morisse se solo avesse visto. Chiude gli occhi e analizza ogni frammento, cercando quel qualcosa che, se fosse andato diversamente, avrebbe potuto cambiare le cose. Ellie sa che è inutile, che il passato non si cambia e che Danny non può tornare, non importa quanto ardentemente tutti loro lo desiderino, eppure non riesce a farne a meno, perché ci sono cose a cui non puoi non aggrapparti, anche se sai che ti consumeranno fino alle ossa e non lasceranno altro che cenere.

This is the story of what happened when Rose Tyler, with no means of her getting back to her own world decided to stop pining after the Doctor. She chose to get on with the life she had been handed and met a certain grumpy Alec Hardy at her newly opened shop in a town called Broadchurch and after a case of mistaken identity changed both their lives for the better. This was the first story I ever wrote, back in 2014 so a lot of things have since come to light since. The story goes between the characters points of view so some parts may be repeated. During the Trish Winterman rape investigation, things are starting to get interesting between Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller. What will come of their work partnership and personal relationship?
