Roxana kept her head bowed as Alexander stepped towards the captives of war, sweeping his cloak behind him. He passed by all of the women with the indifference and sobriety that rivalled their fairness and beauty. "The Bactrian women are eyesores," His deep, passionate voice ran out, earning the chuckles of his generals. That was when she realized that a pair of feet in leather soles had stopped before her. Slowly, she looked up. She saw a pair of metal greaves on strong, sturdy legs. She saw a kilt and scaled armour securely tied off at the shoulders. On the centre of his chest was engraved a sun with a face drawn on it. Then she focussed her eyes on his chiselled jawline, then at his arrogant mouth, and then his mismatched but clear brown and blue eyes. Roxana's eyes widened. This was the greatest commander ever known on earth, the one who massacred thousands of citizens who revolted against him in Thebes, the one who had burned down the palace complex of Persepolis in one night, and the one who never lost a battle in his life. She wanted to look away from his intense gaze. But she lifted her chin a little higher and boldly locked her gaze with his. "What is your name?" He asked, his expression stone cold. She felt his hand touch a lock of her long, dark brown mane. His gaze bore into her eyes so piercingly that she decided to cast her head to the side. "Roxana, my lord." She replied. "Who is your father?" "Oxyartes, mighty warlord and nobleman of Sogdia." "Ah, Oxyartes. I know him. I know him very well," He smiled. Then he bent down so that the tips of their noses were almost touching. She could feel his warm breath which turned into mist in the freezing winter air. Roxana shivered. "Tell your father that I have come," He whispered, "And that his people are now my people."

This AU is based off of 'Alexander the Great', in which Alexander would be Alexander (pfft duh), and John would be Hephaestion. The story sets off with Alexander, the cold soon to be ruler of his own kingdom in Greece. John, is a commoner among the vast streets of Macedonia. Their meeting is nothing more than coincidental, given John had been taken from his home and brought to Alexander as a 'gift' of a sort. They soon became nearly unstoppable, as an incredible team, which developed by rather unlikely odds.

*For fans of Percy Jackson, Greek/Roman mythology and epic historical battles* "In hindsight, knocking someone out with a thousand year old artefact was probably not a good idea." After a run in with her ex sends her catapulting into the past, Adelaide has to navigate the battles she studied in real life, while posing as several historical figures such as Octavia; Octavian of Romes' sister. With the overhanging threat of perpetual reincarnation thanks to the egotistical sun-god Apollo, Adelaide struggles to deal with moral dilemmas about changing the fate of doomed soldiers and finding her way back to her correct time. *I wrote this book as part of my EPQ for school and it is by no means perfect due to the small time frame I had to write it, but I thought I would post it here anyway!*

Something lies hidden under the sands in the Middle East, a secret so fraught with consequences and the fear of the tumult its discovery will provoke that it cannot be named. It is for this reason the British government has assembled a team to unearth it before any of the other parties searching for it can discover it. Included among its members are David and Clare Hutchings. Ostensibly, they are participating in an archeological investigation in northern Iraq, at a newly discovered site, purportedly the ancient ruins of the fortress of Dara Akrata, an outpost of the growing might of Alexander the Great lost both to time and the unrelenting desert sands. Not only are David and Clare left uninformed of what they are searching for but of whom else among the broader British contingent are included in this secret operation. They have nothing to go on nor any idea on where to begin. David considers the entire situation absurd and believes failure is the only logical outcome. "To leave everyone in the figurative dark and essentially hold to a spurious kind of wishful thinking that those given only part of the details will somehow miraculously stumble upon the answer, it seems only more and more ludicrous. Either it's been a completely mad mission from the beginning or someone here has meticulously planned everything out with far more precision than we or anyone has been able to imagine thus far." Yet even before traveling to Iraq, a death has occurred. And more ensue within weeks of arriving at the site: each ghastly, brutal, and undeniably cruel. The means by which they occur and the reasons underlying them are as nettled and confusing as the mystery associated with the objective itself, with the few clues available as sparse as rain in the desert. Even as David and Clare conclude they can trust no one, the danger becomes personal. Clare fears that David's life may be forfeit before all comes to an end. Yet, in that fear, lies the solution.

An origin story of the Lansdowne young Heracles statue at the Getty villa. The famous sculptor Lysippos, the King and conqueror who needs no introduction, and the nameless Athenian boy whose image would endure. According to the ancient Greek legends, Olympias, mother of Alexander III, on the eve of the consummation of her marriage to Phillip, dreamed that her womb was struck by a thunderbolt, causing a flame that spread' far and wide', before dying away. This indicated that Alexander's father was probably the great lord Zeus himself. On the day of birth of Alexander ,mysteriously the Temple of Artemis was burnt down ,which led into spreading of rumours that probably the Goddess of hunting was busy attending the birth of the most powerful demigod after Achilles and Heracles, so she could not protect her temple. How did this great man die? Although history tells us dry facts about the death of Alexander, which took place on 11th June 323B.C at Babylon, as a result of typhoid and fever. But,prior to his death, there was a prophecy which indirectly foretold not only his death but also the people who would be the cause and consequences thereafter.... This story is about the death mystery of Alexander, The Great. The murder of the greatest king of the world.

This was an Honors World Literature writing assignment on a historical figure whom we based our class research/writings on. My person was Alexander the Great and I was thoroughly inspired by him, as well as his love life. Here is a poem in his perspective when he met his first and true love, Roxanne.

This is a historical fiction novel about Alexander the Third of Macedon aka Alexander the Great. The events of the story are almost all the creation of my imagination or based on true historical events. Most of the names in the novel are real historic people who surrounded Alexander the Great.

It obviously did. They told me. So it must be true. Most likely a bunch of art and stories compiled into one "book", if you could even call it that. This all started out as a joke that slowly became a thing. With the help of a cool friend, we ended up making... this a series. Just historical (and legendary) figures living in modern times, under the same roof. Shenanigans ensue and it all probably ends up a mess. ...There's no exact plot to this. Just terrible comedy and my immature sense of humor. If you like any of that stuff then check this out. I honestly feel bad for you if you choose to do so. At least there's mediocre art to keep your mind off it, right? This is most likely the result of me having nothing to do with my time. Expect updates to be late as hell.
