One day, Cerberus, hades dog, teleports into the avengers penthouse. Everyone is shocked and ready to fight except thor and loki. Thor tells them that its Cerberus, hades, god of dead, Underworld and riches, while loki is busy babying the giand 3 headed dog. Cerbrys coughs up a letter which falls on the ground in a pool of shadows which dissolve quickly. The letter is from hades that he and persephone are going on a month long vacation and want loki to look after Cerberus as the other Underworld gods would be busy with hades's duties while he's away. He asked his daughter hazel, she shooed him away with a broom saying that she already has a set of her own twins to look after. and when he asked his son nico to look after Cerberus, nico threw a stone at him saying he himself had a vacation with his fiance will, amf their friends alex and magnus celebrating their(will and Nico's) engagement and alex and magnus's one year weddimg anniversary. he dosent trust other gods on olumpus and while he trusts hestia, shes also busy. The letter also says that the 4 of them will drop by to take Cerberus after their vacation. So he wants loki to look after cerbrus.
