Alex doesn't really like Henry, calls him his archrival and doesn't let go a chance for a verbal banter that sparked during Rio Olympics. The rivalry turns into fake friendship and from fake friends to secret rendevous which are not as easy as you think because Henry happens to be the Prince of England and Alex is the son of the US president. After Alex meets Henry at the Rio Olympics, Alex wants nothing to do with Henry ever again. But with his mom running for President, he is sent away from the media circus surrounding him in the US to a British boarding school for a semester. But his mother sends him with a mission: befriend Prince Henry. From Alex's POV like in the novel. I'm going to try to keep this one kind of short (10-ish chaps) because I tend to bite off more than I chew (this is my 3rd RWRB fanfic in 2 months, none are finished- but working on all of them promise, I hate leaving things unfinished- but I'm also in my final semester of university so please be patient). It will be fast-paced but hopefully still believable (they'll be some time- jumps) It's just gonna be mostly fluffy and fun (considering my other RWRB fit is VERY angsty, I need a little balance in my life), inspired a bit by Young Royals. Alex and Henry are newly engaged and planning their wedding as Alex's first Congressional election is coming up. While Henry is done with being in the spotlight, he's always knew that to love Alex, he'll have to continue to be. But as the wedding approaches, it eats at him as he realizes Alex and him want different lives. Alex, meanwhile is too wrapped up in politics to see how much Henry is suffering, and in his attempt to balance being everything to everyone, turns to vice. Will this be the thing that tears them apart? How can they both be happy if one of them has to sacrifice the life they have always desired? Follows book cannon (but not the bonus chapter exactly) and takes place 6 years after the end of the book. Chapters will alternate being told from Henry and Alex's POVs. *Was on hold for a few months (May-August 2024) during my graduation and moving but new posts weekly starting Monday, Sep. 30!!
