Lance is the Prince of Altea, or at least was before the Galra destroyed it; however, with the help of his father, he was stripped of his Altean features and sent to Earth for safe living with the blue lion. Lance was stuck in a frozen slumber at the age of 14 when a little less than 10,000 years later, a loving family finds him, and he is quick to connect with them and love them as his own. When he gets ejected back into space a few years later and spends a few months with Voltron, he notices how the others are quick to put him down. What will happen when Lance realizes that his place is not with Voltron but with someone who was always there for him growing up? What will happen when he finds something that could rid the universe of Zarkon and bring peace to all galaxies? Lancelot McClain, the prince of Altea, adored and loved by many. Keith Kogane, the peasant of the town, shrouded in fear and anxiety. When a golden letter is delivered from the king to Keith, who knows what could go? Will love blossom or will hate be spread amongst the two boys?

Lance, the only Prince of Altea, is set to marry Keith, a galra from the royal court. Ever since they were kids it's been known to the universe that they would be wed. The couple that would unify the two races and end the war. That is until something goes wrong. Things are ruined and everything goes haywire. Keith is kidnapped by Lotor, the only child of King Zarkon. In return for Keith he wants Lance to himself. The request isn't as easy as it seems but with Keith still in Lotor's hands the threat of war is stronger than ever. Will Lance be able to save Keith while making sure he's safe as well? Or will Lotor get exactly what he wants?

Not many think of the lions and how they have felt during their time alive. How much they have loved and mourned each life they had held inside of their cockpits. Red didn't either when she was created but she learned her lesson and wished that there was a way to stop the cycle of getting a paladin, loving the paladin and losing the paladin.
