STEVENSON RANCH, CA-Brian Algee is a successful business owner, a restaurateur, and a father to one son. He currently owns Chef B's Catering, which operates out of metro Los Angeles. Algee's interest in food preparation began at a young age. After attaining a degree in general studies, he attended the prestigious Academy of Culinary Education, where he learned the basics of food preparation and kitchen management. After completing his studies, he took the first job as a tournament chef at the iconic Hotel Bel-Air in LA. After working in this capacity for four years, he was promoted to sous chef. Algee served as a sous chef and eventually executive chef in a variety of restaurants around the LA area, including Nordstrom Bistro, Abbey Lane Café, and Valencia Country Club. After years in the restaurant scene, Algee decided to branch off on his own and open Chef B's catering. He focuses on creating healthy, palette-pleasing dishes based on the highest-quality ingredients each season has to offer. In his current position, Algee manages both the business and creative sides of being a restaurateur. He manages the budget, closely watches the profit margins of each food, and continually makes recommendations and menu alterations based on the freshness of ingredients and customer feedback. Algee knows that he is only as good as his team, so he prides himself on being an expert trainer and mentor. In his years in the business, he has trained six executive chefs who now hold prestigious positions around the LA area. He thoroughly vets his own staff and ensures everyone delivers the quality and expertise demanded of the brand.
