With his powers sealed, leaving him stranded on Teyvat, Aether together with Paimon set out on a journey to find The Seven. Stumbling upon an unknown mausoleum, Aether awakes an ancient deity who decides to grant the traveler's wish. "Harmony makes small things grow. Lack of it makes big things decay." were the words the deity always uttered to infuse souls with encouragement, now they are a promise of doom, a catastrophe brought by the hands of a god greater than the Seven.

Kaveh always wondered about that fateful night at Lambad's Tavern. It was where he was found by Alhaitham after all. They had been estranged for years after their massive fight. What cosmic prank brought them back into each other's existence that night? Years later as roommates and entering an eventual courtship, Kaveh yearned for more as he felt something was missing. But felt he was to blame. He found himself wondering at times many what-ifs. The biggest one of course being; What if Kaveh never came home with Alhaitham? How would their lives shape themselves then? Fate has a strange way of showing they listen, don't they?

"For as long as Kaveh has known Alhaitham, he has been trying to beat him at literally anything, but Alhaitham seems to be better everytime. It all started when they met each other in college. At first, they would compete over small things, like who could finish an exam first, but they somehow managed to get where they are now; international car racing. Kaveh has gained popularity over the few years that he's been racing, though Alhaitham even did as much as surpass his fan count. But Kaveh would get those fans back, in a major international race called... Teyvat Cup. Kaveh dies, and Alhaitham accidentally shifts to a modern alternate universe where he meets modern Kaveh. He takes advantage of this chance to prevent Kaveh from dying in this universe.

Kaveh and Alhaitham haven't had... the smoothest history. There's definitely been some bumps in the road. Yet somehow, they always seem to find each other again. ...Fate must really have it out for them, huh?

However, Kaveh being the cat lover he is, finds this cat left by Haitham and cares for it until Haitham returns from his trip. What Kaveh doesn't know, is that this cat is Haitham taking part in the experiment of a cats life for a couple weeks. Will Kaveh find out the cat is his roommate?
