Alien-world Stories

In a bronze age culture on an alien world live two teenagers. Apjay speaks to the dead in dreams and remembers words of a language forgotten long ago. He believes his gifts come from the invisible stars--lights that once ruled the night sky. The only person in his tribe who understands him, so he believes, is the beautiful Iota. Iota is a gifted healer who, as a child, watched her father die of illness. While the messages Apjay brings from the dead comfort her, she has no trust for the stars whom she believes are to blame for her father's death. The discovery of a turquoise skeleton prompts Apjay to go on a spiritual quest. Fearing that the past is repeating itself and Apjay will suffer her father's fate, she follows him. She will stop at nothing to save Apjay from the stars and himself. She'll even follow him to the dreaded city of the starstealers. Together they will discover the deeper mysteries of their world.

The city of Fort Brazos and the nearby Joint Reserve military base have been abducted and deposited by forces unknown inside a vast, hollow, 3,900 mile-long cylindrical world. Their homes and businesses all seem the same, but of the over 100,000 population, over 5,000 never wake up at all. The new world has a diverse ecosphere with multiple continents and oceans, and no visible sign of any other cities or structures or people.

Mom and dad worked their whole professional careers to prove a wormhole, or more, were hiding here on Earth. That work cost both of them their lives. Trying to prove it wasn't his fault, eldest son Cliffy reopens an ancient one. Ready to go down it himself, Brother Bird took the trip instead. The words 'time and space' are often said together. Bird, in time, would traverse both. Using every ounce of his skill and smarts, he would use human ways just to survive. Now stuck on an alien world he would embark on a destiny he had no idea he had. Too bad an ancient evil of his new galaxy knows he's coming. Oh yes... ... just another day on Eden!
