To everyone else, he is the perfect student: polite, intelligent, and on the fast track to a future he's supposed to want. But this is just a role he plays. A mask to hide the truth. At 21, he moves to the historic university city of Pécs to start his life, but he's already a ghost. He is a detached spectator in his own story, watching himself perform the part of 'The Son' and 'The Student' with a cold, clinical precision. Haunted by the shadows of a father who left and a mother he can't help but hurt, his new life is not one of freedom. It's a life of financial spreadsheets, missed parties, and the crushing weight of a poverty that isolates him from a world he can't afford to join. The city's ancient streets and bustling lecture halls are just a backdrop. His real world is the four walls of his sterile dorm room, the bitter static of phone calls home, and the pages of a black notebook-the only place he is honest. He watches, he records, and he asks himself one question: How long can you perform a life before you are completely disqualified from living one?

"Are you ready? Can we begin?" "Yes, of course. But that cretin over there - is he just going to stand there like a statue and gawk?" "For God's sake, have at least a shred of respect..." "Mr. Finch, let us not be distracted by details..." "Fine. To hell with you. Ask your questions.." "What will I find if I open the spine and peer inside?" "I wouldn't venture to claim that you will derive pleasure to the extent you expect to derive it, if you catch my meaning. This story, strange and abnormal, leads through twisted labyrinths into the depths of monstrous childhood traumas and reflects the essence of modern society and every modern family in Little Gamp, which - despite the temptation to appear normal - certainly hides a couple of filthy secrets behind its doors that are better left unknown." "Every element, every character, and their objective perspective on the world is but a single frame in the overall picture of a story that, by all appearances, took shape long before the start of the events described in this work, yet which will continue to evolve and live in light of the decisions already made by our protagonists" "The mass murder at the Octopus restaurant" "A mystical operation in deep space to identify a strange SOS signal echoing from the depths of the galaxy" "The agitation and exigency of a public that spills out onto the city streets in hopes of sparking a revolution" "Merely frames in the overall picture?" "That is precisely what I said..." "But what lies behind all these events?" "If only I knew.." "And if you did know, would you tell?" "Ha! Definitely not!"

Your mind is a burning room, a drowning storm, and a torturing fairy-tale all at once. Now, descend through its layers and discover what waits in the one place even the flames can't reach. Sad Sundays is my weekly space to share melancholic poetry, words that help me navigate the stillness, the weight, and the quiet storms of recovery. Each Sunday, I post a new piece that I've written, using poetry to process my journey through detox and rehab, to face the difficult parts of healing, and to find meaning in the silence. Every poem is written by hand with help from the Rhymezone platform. This series is as much for me as it is for anyone who finds comfort in knowing they're not alone on their gray days. I will eventually try to tie most of my work together into a larger piece, but first and foremost, this will function as a collection of my writings while I am going through detox. There may be an underlying story, but perhaps not. Find out next week, and join me for a Sad Sunday moment. New Upload every Sunday at 18:00 (6 PM) German time - CET/CEST (UTC+1/UTC+2).

I'm Lillian Smith, I'm 20 years old and a university student, and recently I've been offered a scholarship to a definitely-not-shady magical academy. A 'support device' I was given shows me a list of classes I can take, all involving mana, magic, and Skills with a capital S. To get there I was lumped into a ship full of strange and alien creatures, jumping between worlds as we pick up more and more hapless 'students'. Things were starting to make a little sense, until the ship crashed into an alien world. Now, I might be getting trained as a rebel soldier, or something? Looking on the bright side, I haven't gotten this much exercise in a long time and there are plenty of cute girls around. When I develop some Skills and work on my classes, maybe I'll become strong enough to actually have the time to flirt with them. ~ One of the few surviving records thought to be written by the Empress before her rise to power.

I'm sure you know about the 'Humans are space orcs' fandom(?) By now And this book is basically that! All things I write are original or inspired.if inspired, than I will give credit I'm also open to requests!please do send me request, they're really fun for me to do/srs/pos! About this book being 'Humans are space orcs' well...it's kinda different.instead of the aliens being surprised;scared about humans, they're obsessed over humans. Similar to how humans are to cats.aliens adopt humans as pets and I just really like the idea,it's really underrated! The reason I made this is actually because I'm a Pet dreamer (I recommend you go onto alterhumanity.fandom.com for more info on it) and I really want/like the idea of an alien caretaker :3

Two boys. One future. Set in a world where a god's energy runs through, many of the populate creatures here use light and dark energy in their lives. Two children from different worlds become friends, but only to be separated by the law. Six years later, the yearly trials commence, where every sixteen year old kid from each world, Primula and Kaminari respectively, would compete for survival in their ever changing world. Now, it's their turn to participate in the trials. The two children seem to not know each other, and their odd change in personalities seems to differ, however, the one thing keeping them together is real and spiritual. As they realize how their world is more than just change and evolution along with remembering the past, they learn a lot more, and a fight or two may spark up a flame, or an everlasting war between two gods. A nameless character awaits the results of the 'birth lottery.' Filled with existential despair and acerbic wit these short stories or, 'lamentations,' grapple with themes ranging from contemporary politics, to God and religion, to the absurdity of everyday existence. From the opening moments exploring the unraveling mind of a character on a journey through the vacuity of consumer society, to the finale in which we await the arrival of an absent Messiah these stories cut to the heart of the human condition. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/20856796.Simon_Brass

The only thing that came into my mind then was...there is another word so much similar to love, it too starts with l and has four letters...but deep inside, it's extremely different...drastically different...it's lust. A magically terrifying emotion that turns people into...wolves. The hideous word that made me lose all my beliefs in something called "true love".

Elise is just trying to survive her first week at a soul-crushing game studio, but life has other plans. Enter Pudgeon: a talking pigeon with a flair for chaos, a smart watch that might be magic, and a train that goes anywhere, even through the laws of reality. Together, they stumble into cosmic battles, magical transformations, and the occasional existential crisis. Part magical girl adventure, part office satire, part absurdist commentary on work, life, and alienation. If you like Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and stories where bureaucracy meets heart beams, you've found your next obsession.
