A young woman is abandoned on a newly discovered planet and must do what she can to survive.

I was returning to Earth from the Andromeda Galaxy aboard my ship, DragonWing. My arduous mission had ended, and I was eager to return to Izmir, the city of my childhood. My AI assistant, Lucy, reported that the journey was smooth. I planned to take a walk by the sea in Izmir and visit my grandmother's grave. However, an emergency signal from Lucy interrupted my thoughts. UPS agents were facing an unknown creature. I immediately changed course to assist the agents. When I encountered the creature, I realized how powerful and fast it was. Thanks to Lucy's analyses, I found the creature's weak spot and defeated it with strategic moves. The UPS agents were grateful, but for me, this was just the beginning. A new adventure awaited me as I set out to investigate the creature's origins.

Lacuna, a small town somewhere near the border of Oregon and California. Nestled in a valley of mountains too insignificant for a proper name. Maybe you've unwittingly stopped there for gas on a long car trip or maybe you've made a horribly wrong turn and found yourself turning on all the lights in your car and constantly checking your rear view mirror. Everyone knows however that something isn't quite right. Normally in the pacific northwest, UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, and local legends are commonplace and lead to nothing more than interesting interactions with crazed locals. Lacuna, however, is different. Missing persons, cults, shadowy corporations, ritualistic killings, bizarre monuments, and strange buildings litter the town and seem impossible to ignore.

Anchorisa Rhaegar is forced to flee her planet in the midst of a civil war. Having just given birth to her son, her husband, the Anchorite, has them both placed in an escape pod and fired from the planet, hoping that when they return, it will be much more stable than when they left. The Anchorisa finds herself rescued-- and is determined to venture to the intergalactic congress to beg for aid for her people and her planet.
