"There is a planet they dare not name. A mineral no one survives stealing. And a boy beneath the ice... waiting to wake." In the year 4088, the galaxies are ruled by chaos, greed, and whispers of a rare white-world mineral known as Alabastrium - a substance so powerful it can elevate mortals to gods... or tear star systems in half. Three villains rise: β€’ Kor Drayce - a thrill-seeking hyena hybrid streaming his own galactic crime spree. β€’ Bruxel - a war-battered, robotic juggernaut with bad knees and a score to settle. β€’ Zavion Vyre - a deadly strategist with a cybernetic face and a soul colder than space. They are the Shadowclaimers - mercenaries who leap from galaxy to galaxy, stealing the most powerful elements ever discovered. But beneath the frozen crust of Planet Alabaster, something ancient stirs - a childlike god with a panoramic skull and the power to end creation itself. As old demigods cough up stone blood and cults burn for prophecy, warships vanish, moons crack, and the hunt for Alabastrium begins. Everyone wants the power. No one's ready for the price.

Allie is finally out of the hospital and is eager to start her new life. Does she want to stay, move, or completely leave to another corner of the states? What about her job will she go back? All of this is small potatoes compared to the sudden and eminent arrival of the Atssk who spare no time trying to recruit new crew members from the general public. Suspicion is rampant as they promise generous benefits for those who agree to work on their ships.

But when Zara is kidnapped by some weirdos in white coats and wakes up in a new body, things start to change. Until after an accident, when she's left on death's door and, once again, is kidnapped. Don't people know it's rude to take someone without their consent? Sneak Peek: I hiss at the man who's holding me as he stretches my wing and immediately throw my claws into his arm. He's put me in just the right position to be able to slash at his inner arm. I grin ferally and watch as the man yelps in pain, blood trickling out of the deep claw marks on his arm. The scientist looks at me in surprise. "Specimen D5844 has succeeded in getting a hit on the lab assistant and seems proud of herself. Her intelligence should be monitored, in case there is more than meets the eye." I hiss at the scientist and dig my claws deeper into the lab assistant's angry red skin. He quickly drops me, letting the air flow past me and beat into my scales as I fall. I swiftly start to panic. I hadn't thought this far ahead yet.

The first story of a series of sci-fi fantasy novel series. Hello everyone. I've had a long break from writing this story, but its been in the back of my mind for years. Essentially I want to develop on my writing style before publishing the full story. Much of the story is in the process of rewriting, and from now I'll be posting here for an indefinite time. All comments and sharing welcome. Concept: The story blends technology and spiritual based 'magic'. Though I say magic, its referred to as more of an energy than magic in the story. The story also features created languages, dynamic cultures and all sorts of interesting technologies. Description: When he realised what had fell, he was too late. It had already cracked. He was already subject to the poison of black ember gas that seeped its way into his skin and body. His body fell like a brick. His skin turning blacker than the abyss of the oceans. His body was developing something. A growth. A cancer. The over production of something that was never even there in his body to begin with. A soul mutation. Though Taitero knew about black ember from what he had learned from his parents, school, friends and aquitances, that was only knowledge. The result of coming into contact with the gas was a feeling. You cannot wake up, yet feel the pain. You feel the blackness screeching through your body, scratching your bones piercing itself through you, with the exit being your skin. You feel the gas mutate your insides.
