Für die meisten anderen Grisha im kleinen Palast war Liliya nur eine ganz normale Inferni. Nur wenige wissen, dass sie außerdem die Sterne beherrscht. Sie kann jeden einzelnen Stern beschwören außer der Sonne selbst. Als sie gerade einmal 15 Jahre alt ist beschließt Nikolai 16 den Palast zu verlassen. Und aufgrund des wachsendes Interesses von Kirigan flieht Liliya mit ihm.
