I have a collection of thoughts about the overall development and writing of Spelivia's relationship on the series All American (CW and Netflix) that I want to express in a more organized format. Spencer and Olivia had a promising and delicious slow burn from their very first interaction. The audience who rooted for them through every trial and tribulation (there were many) on and off for 7 years had to sit through tons of ~interesting writing choices when it came to the Spelivia relationship. The show, though now on its 8th season with these two characters exiting the series in season 6, still left a lot to be desired for its audience. I want to explore more of my thoughts through this series and give a voice to some of my deeper thoughts and potentially a few unpopular or controversial opinions that are harder to voice on other social media platforms. These are just my personal opinions and reflections for a ship that I am so deeply passionate about and have dedicated an extraordinary amount of brain space for the last 4ish years of my life. I think this would be a healthy way to release it and speak freely. Feel free to leave your thoughts and join me in an honest discussion about this iconic fictional new age teen ship and the writing behind it.

Spencer and Olivia Baker James make a long-awaited return to their beloved hometown of Los Angeles, California after Spencer's recent decision to retire from the NFL. Though he was grateful for a successful 14-year-long career run, he's ready to give his full attention to his wife and their four children the way he always wanted to but his demanding career wouldn't always allow. They are now parents to four amazing children, three daughters and a son, who truly light up their world in ways they never could've imagined all those years ago when they first bonded over chromosomal DNA. The high school sweethearts feel inspired every day to support their family in the best ways they know how and be a guiding light for them as they help their kids navigate the highs and lows of moving away from the life they've built on the East Coast. Olivia, while noticing the twins having a hard time adjusting to the move from New York, decides to sign the girls up for the Sola Muse Junior Division program that she herself once participated in during her later teen years. Lauren 'Bailey' James and Gianna Corryn James (CJ) grew up in the competitive world of dance, cheer, and gymnastics, but will they be able to navigate starting over with new friendships, new rivalries, and the highs and lows of middle school drama?

Spencer and Olivia are expecting twins! As they navigate this new world of excitement and uncertainty, they find themselves continually leaning on each other, deepening their bond.
