Loki takes Odins place on the throne of Asgard, putting the Allfather in a retirement home. How he pulled that off, is told in this story. "I swear, I left him right here." This story takes place at the end of the movie Thor The Dark World. Edited: May 2018

So, this is not a story. Let's make that clear. This is a collection of some of my ramblings. . . I mean arguments as to why Odin isn't the monster he's often made out to be (at least in the Loki fandom). This may be an unpopular opinion, but I believe Odin loved Loki. Why? Well, you'll have to read on to find out. And yes, I do tend to ramble a bit :)

Astrid daughter of Halvar and Thor son of Odin are forced to spend every summer together until her 1000th birthday. During which time they must get to know each other and fall in love as Thor courts her; as agreed upon by Odin and Halvar, in order to keep the peace between the families and their realms. Although Thor is granted to sow his wild oats before he is to marry Astrid once on her 1000th birthday. Neither are happy with the arrangement. Despite them being forced to be together Astrid shows more interest in the youngest brother, Loki son of Odin. The one who lurks in shadows of his brother, Odin's favourite son. His tricks however keep getting himself and Astrid into trouble. Halvar grows a strong hatred towards Loki especially when he finds out the family's secret of his true inheritance. And any time Astrid is involved in any of his tricks he makes her suffer for it, using abusive measures. As Astrid and Loki's friendship grows he helps conceal her secret of tyrant father's ways. But as time goes on Loki finds himself falling in love with Astrid and steals a kiss. As does Thor's affections grow over time. Who will she choose? Norse mythology inspired me to write this kind of a poem, desrcibing titled Ragnarök, i.e. The end of the world. It is told from the perspective of a warrior, during a feast at Valhalla's hall, when suddenly the horns are blown for the fight.
