Receiving a Spirit Companion is a big deal. It's something that people wait their entire lives for. Every second, every minute, every hour, leads up to that one moment where the rest of their future is decided by which animal spirit chooses them. Will they be a strong and fearless leader like a tiger? Or will they be a cowardly and weak follower like a sheep? However, neither of these are the case of Evelyn Cantrell, for she doesn't receive a spirit companion at all. She is left empty handed, alone, and confused. But that confusion only grows as Evelyn is taken into custody, and told that the reason for the absence of her companion is due to defection and disease. Evelyn knows that's not true. It can't be true, can it? The only thing Evelyn knows for sure right now, is that if she doesn't escape within the next hour, she'll be killed.
