But of course, we don't all get what we wish for. Strange things begin happening around the tower: Harper's books are leaning too far to the right, an extra scoop of ice-cream is gone, her locker is too tidy, and is that blood? When her nightmares become reality once more, and a shadow from her past emerges, Harper once again finds it difficult to enjoy the details, and all she wanted was a quiet year with her family. . . .
