This is a Bench trio college/band au, I've seen people do animations with them to do with the band au but Idk their @'s so it's not a completely original idea, but the story itself hasn't been created before! (Not that I know of anyway) Also obviously this is slightly more based on their DSMP characters and not the content curators themselves, because they are real people :)

Many all over the world dread their 16th birthday as it's the day you become uncertain how much longer it is till your on your death bed, or, if your unlucky and see a small flower petal on one of your feet, your life is put on a timer. this leaves some wallowing in self pity for two years straight letting themselves to slowly decay in till the day they suffocate, those who let this happen to them almost never live and die sad. Others do outlandish things planing to make the most of their last years on planet earth, and end up dying happy, if they die at all. Though the vast majority search anywhere that doesn't have a language barrier as soulmates are sectioned off by language, for those who are bilingual it's the one they learned first, and for those who are deaf it's the type of sign they use. They do have the highest success rate of living but it's still only about 40%. This is what doctors call Denying Roses Disease and there is no known cure other than finding your soulmate within two years. Despite the name, petals come in as your soulmates favorite flower, or if you have more than one the flower petals will alternate, if the relationship is romanic flower petals will be gold, if its platonic the petals are bronze, and the amount if silver lines in them is how many soulmates you have. Ranboo is 16 and had started school in America a few months ago he's always been a bit quieter, his life an endless loop of school, work, and Minecraft. He's never been the biggest fan of social interaction and his memory problems don't help. Often forgetting things people had told him and un-intentionally breaking promises with the people he was friends with, well except two who when he meets, he's never quite able to shake off.

And lately he started to feel a connection to the ocean and he couldn't figure it out why. But he felt comfort and not restrained in the land of the server by looking at it from time to time in exile and seeing that he had been waking up underwater. And he wouldn't admit that he was a bit freaked out by it. As time pass he'll be starting to feel that he is not entirely human like he believed and he'll have to learn how to get use to his new body and make it work with his new hybrid abilities.
