You usually stayed with Allura and Coran, but sometimes you went on crazy adventures with the others, and as the days went on, you got more and more attached to Lance. What happens between you two? He does it alone when everyone else has gone to bed, so when he injures himself badly, there's no one there to help him. His options are limited; wait for someone to find him, crawl to the nearest bedroom, or try and drag himself to the healing pods. ---------- Warnings for depictions of injury, self doubt, angst, and whump. Don't worry, there's funny moments too! Some of the original prompt is altered because honestly I felt like some of it was slightly ooc? It's barely noticable tbh but I wanted to try and characterize my favorite boy as best I could. I'm not gonna say who the other person in this fic is here (though the tags give it away) I just wanna say it outright that this was not intended to be a ship fic. If you want to interpret it that way, that's cool, that's just not the way I originally wrote it. Regardless, I hope you enjoy. The second part is also just self indulgent and also not intended to a ship, but like I said, interpret it how you wanna, you are the reader.

Well, they're bonding alright---in space, fighting an alien war because they stumbled across an alien warship of a lion. Of course this is how she ends up spending the last of her teenage years. ********* "Hey," Keith called, and I looked at him. "You good?" I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Fine. Why?" He shrugged, and I noticed he'd put his knife up. "You look paler," he said, standing. "Than the last time we saw each other, I mean." "You mean when you and Griffin got into that fight right before you dropped out?" I raised my eyebrow at him, crossing my arms. "He's still mad about that one, you know." "Eh, that doesn't surprise me," he said, matching my stance. "Between his ego and his ego, I wouldn't have expected much else. Since when did you call him Griffin?" "Does that really matter?" He considered it a moment, then shook his head. "I guess not. We've got bigger things to worry about, anyway." I nodded, looking toward the sunrise. Shiro had woken up a little while ago, and now he stood on the cliff, watching as the sun rose. After so long in space, I didn't blame him. I'd probably take my time to enjoy that view, too, if I were him. Could never get sick of it. "You should talk to him," I said, looking at Keith. "Make sure he's okay." He nodded, walking away.
