So I just found out that my best friend's in-love with...

In a perfect world, there is no death, no terrorist, no hunger. Well, Humanity has just achieved that, or so it looks. Eli Santos, an orphan taken in by a Hispanic librarian, is no normal boy, he was born with a power that hasn't been seen for a millennium. He Will soon unravel earths biggest mystery and learn that what is seen by the humans is only the caramel topping to a diabolical world that hides it's imperfections with tombstones and poison.

Zara hates Shakespeare. So when a mix up lands her in a semester long Shakespeare class, she expects nothing short of torture. But then she's partnered up with the unusual Jonathan Brandt, setting the foundation for a strange form of friendship as they study their first play, Romeo and Juliet. Before long, it becomes clear that there's much more to Jonathan than meets the eye. In fact, the more Zara learns, the more she realizes how similar her own life is to the old play, full of complexities and conflicts. She has the warring families, the important friendships, the responsibility to loved ones. Maybe even the romance. Problem is, there's no denying that the original Romeo and Juliet ended badly for the both of them. And when long standing rivalries begin to emerge--and she and Jonathan are caught in the middle--it starts to look as though this story might be just as messy. ••• A/N: This story does NOT in any way follow the exact plot of Romeo and Juliet. Some characters and events are inspired by the play, but you won't know what's going to happen just because you've read R&J.

I was racing down the beaten old path, before he could get to me. I just kept running and running, for miles on end. Poetry class assignment: situational irony.

In this AU, people are born with grey eyes, and the only colors you can see are black, white, and whatever comes in-between. That is, until you touch your soulmate. Then the spectrum is revealed, and your eyes turn to their true color. David, a nineteen year-old University student, goes out to a party one night with his best friend and roommate Jonathan. The next morning, he wakes up alone in an airport. He sees in color. The world is bright and splendid, except for one problem. He doesn't know who his soulmate is. A story of passion, hate, confusion, and a vast cast of characters, venture with David as he begins his journey back home while searching desperately for his one true love.

Always expect the unexpected. Drake is, and has always been living his calm life in middle school where he's the top of the class in creative writing, his friends and teachers are awesome, and Mira is always student council president. Always. Starting from her fifth grade year, Mira always won by a landslide. Every time. She's unbeatable, invincible, and talented, which doesn't really bother Drake that much... What bothers him is the fact that someone wants him to help beat her. It's not that he doesn't want to help. It's the fact that it just isn't possible... or so he thought... Icana always had a big rivalry with Mira, and decides once and for all that she will beat her at something.
