After two years, Greninja finishes his job in Kalos and goes off to search for Ash. There have been mysterious Pokemon sightings at the beach in Alola. Nothing like it has ever been seen before in the region. Once again, it's up to Ash to investigate... This summary sucks. Hopefully the story's better.

Dear Diary, Sometimes, chasing dreams causes people to do some crazy things. The chase for knowledge can lead to another chase, then another, then another. Sometimes, you just have to know when to give up, or risk losing it all. The end result is sometimes worth it, that is, until you realize you're still missing puzzle pieces. No matter how fast you run, how clever you are, or how hard you believe in yourself, the finish line will always slip away. Complete with gym and Pokémon league and that a country is part of the Pokémon region. In this book, some places will be named after an actual country instead of referring to it as a region.
