Twenty-Three year old Ryann Blackthorn, a year out of university, trying to find a better job to put use to her Commercial and Advertising Arts degree, is bored in her free time during the year 3030. Suddenly, advertisements for a Visual Reality video game start showing up in every commercial she sees. When it came out, she decides to purchase it thanks to her never-ending annual summer boredom. Hoping that playing it will be more interesting than her usual routine, she starts to play it.
The consequences of playing such game aren't small, when she gets trapped in the game with her nefarious boyfriend (that has ghosted her for the last six months), an annoying new admirer, her cousin, her enemy, and the girl she's been stalking on social media? She's never met her in person before but has been stalking her for the last four months, and meeting her is going to be interesting.
Ryann is transported in the game with her diary and proceeds to write every last detail down. Filling out every last page of the diary so she can record her experiences. While doing so, Ryann hopes she will be able to share her experiences with the people who are now considered lucky to be in reality. But for now, reading her diary as she experiences everything will be intriguing. Will Ryann and her twisted team made up of her boyfriend, stalk-ee, her closest family member, an unknown soon-to-be admirer, and a familiar enemy be able to beat the game? Can they beat the game and all get out alive? Are the right people going to be there to escape? How do they escape?
