This was not a love story.
Because love exists where there is care, where concern is shown in small gestures, where kind words soften pain.
Here, there were no gentle touches. No warmth. No affection.
Only silence.
Only rules.
Only pain.
Kim Taehyung did not love Jeon Jungkook.
And Jungkook did not love Taehyung either.
What stood between them was not desire-it was fate forced by power.
Taehyung was a lawyer, sharp-minded, respected, feared. A man who knew the law well enough to bend it in his favor. Emotions had no place in his world-only control did.
Jungkook came from the opposite end of life.
An orphan.
Undereducated-not because he lacked intelligence, but because hunger came before books. When survival itself was a daily battle, education became a luxury he could never afford.
Before marriage, Jungkook worked part-time at a small café, earning just enough to fill his stomach-never enough to dream. That café became the only place where he felt briefly human. It was also the place where Mrs. Kim noticed him for the first time.
His kindness.
His silence.
His struggle.
Jungkook believed marriage would change his life.
That it would give him stability. A home. A future.
But marriage did not give him love.
It stripped him of what little freedom he had.
Because when love is absent, marriage is not a bond.
It is a sentence.
And in this marriage, both Taehyung and Jungkook were trapped-
One by his cruelty.
The other by his helplessness.
