A continuation of Golden Stars, Bleeding Hearts! M'staeng didn't expect anything strange when Alphonse had asked him for pens and paper. He and Ed probably just wanted to write or draw or something, right? He'd see whatever it is they'd done when they finished, compliment it, and encourage their interests. That was part of being a good parent, right? Of course, his assumptions about their little project were nothing like the reality. Just what the hell was alchemy, anyway?

It was a normal mission. Dismantling fighting rings was routine for M'staeng at this point. What was not normal was getting himself captured on one of those missions, but that was fine. H'kye killing him when she inevitably rescued him scared him more than anything the Homn'cli could do to him. It wouldn't be too bad. Of course, he didn't expect for the Homn'cli to have captured a fucking human, much less make them his cellmate. Sharing a cage with a species considered death incarnate wasn't how M'staeng saw his imprisonment going. Death incarnate was...surprisingly small.

Before she could even understand what was going on, the echo of her father's screams reached into her room. In an instant, she rushed towards him. Fading one limb at a time, she runs into her father slowly attempting to perform... The ultimate taboo, human transmutation. The girl, filled with terror, tries to break the transmutation circle, attempting to rescue what remained of her father. Unfortunately, nothing stops it, leaving him with little remaining. Falling down to her knees in despair, her father makes his last attempt to being a good father. Crawling with one arm forward, he lures his daughter into the circle with him, letting him whisper his final words. "I'm sorry... I love you." Before she knew it, a flash appears again, taking her away into white room. What remained in the room was only three things. Herself. A huge black door. And a black shadow, resembling what seemed to be herself. This was the start to a new beginning. This is the start of the Musical Alchemist.
