It's only been a year since the tragic -- and preventable -- death of her girlfriend on the upper slopes of Mont Blanc and record-setting celebrity mountaineer Jen Campbell is allegedly ready to heal, focus on the here and now, and move forward with her life. Some favorable press might not be so bad, either. And to that end, she invites aspiring American travel writer Rory Page to join her flamboyant retinue for a two-week bender in Switzerland. It's the assignment of a lifetime for Rory, with the potential to advance his career and cement his coveted promotion to editor. Problem is, the mutual attraction between Rory and Jen threatens to jeopardize it all. And the more he comes to suspect that Jen is not in fact ready to move on, the more he struggles to accept that he is actively exploiting her personal life for his own gain.

This is an Ertugrul-inspired (clean) Fanfic that follows Sarah, Sungurtekin's daughter, as she spies on the Mongols and navigates life in her tribe. I wrote it when I was 12, so it's unfinished, but if it gets some love, I'll continue it with my (hopefully) improved writing skills :). I decided to post it here instead of it just sitting in my Google Docs, so I'll post the finished chapters one by one. Let me know what ya'll think!

Her family is wealthy; she gets to go on amazing holidays and has gorgeous clothes and one of the best schools in the country. You could say her life was perfect. But she was far from it. She didn't trust anyone, she was always on report at school and you could go to any detention and she would be sitting there, or her name would be lying unticked on the detention register. She was selfish and cold; she didn't care about other people's emotions and didn't try to help herself when it was clear something was wrong. But she had a secret of her own. Her parents don't know what went wrong with her as all of her other siblings were seemingly perfect. Jaime needed help, that part was obvious, but the way her parents give that help is borderline evil. It starts on a cold evening in the Alps, and their plan goes from there.

Henry Parker and his family are perfectly happy, but their peace is shattered by the rise of a dangerous new leader, Brentley Haverstock. Henry's three sons, Frank, Tyrone, and Terrance, flock to join the government, leaving him and his wife and daughter Shannon behind. Martin Sawyer is a friend of the Parkers, but doesn't support Haverstock's ideas. He watches as the family gets torn apart, but things come to a head when Henry is arrested, and Shannon tries to help him escape. The plan goes terribly wrong when Shannon is shot and Martin arrested as well...

This is the story that won a travel writing contest and began my long and somewhat illustrious career as a travel writer.

Two weeks. It's not a long time, when it's just two weeks from Christmas everyone is in awe, excited and happy. Two weeks before school starts and everyone starts to feel nauseous cause it's passing by really fast. Two weeks before a trip you're really looking forward to just flies by and suddenly it's 10pm and you're packing for tomorrow. But two weeks when you finally get there and see that it all pretty much sucks... Yeah it's the longest two weeks in your life. But they have to pass, and all of a sudden you're in this small village in mountains with 180 other people from all over, you're pulled in so many uncomfortable situations, stuck with almost no connection to the outside world and for the love of God has it really only been 3 hours since we arrived here?
