'This routine would be so awesome,' Yurio thought, 'if only Otabek could get his damn part right.' So this fic came to me when I was watching Welcome to the Madness last week and I realized that a routine like that doesn't just happen. Yurio and Otabek would have had to practice that routine. So then I wondered, how many times did they have to practice Otabek taking off Yurio's glove with his teeth? How many times did Otabek accidentally bite Yurio's finger instead, and how awkward were the subsequent apologies? This spiraled way out of my control, but yeah, here's a fic about OtaYuri practicing for madness.

Someone asked for a college au fic. I hope this is what you wanted! There isn't really any definitive pairings in this. A little bit of YuurixViktor and some implied interaction between PhichitxYuuri. Later there is some YurixOtabek. I've changed some of the ages to allow for timing in this au.

After traveling around for a while, Yuri makes his way back to his hometown to meet up with friends (aka Viktor pestering him to come visit since he left just over a year ago). Unexpectedly, he ends up running into his long-time competitor, yet first 'actual' friend, Otabek. With both surprised to see each other, Yuri said they need to catch up and hang out, while Otabek tried to hide his amazement about how Yuri went from a graceful, petite skater to Mr. Russia grabbing the attention of all the young skaters and fans alike. Yet he only had his eyes set on the one man who always saw more. ((Mentions of alcohol and probably more stuff added later on))

Yuri Plisetsky is a pro ice skater who works part time at a café right beside a popular ice rink, known as the Prince's crown. Many skaters gather there to skate or chill at the café, including Russia's Ice King, Victor Nikiforov and his boyfriend, two-time finalist of the Grand Prix, Yuuri Katsuki. Yuri would usually never bat an eye at any of the customers or fans, until a very pretty boy shows up. (The pictures in here are not mine, except for the ones I've commented on.) Yuri overhears a conversation between Mila and Beka that leaves him feeling betrayed. Before he can confront them, he has to leave to nurse his sick Grandpa and his own broken heart. When Beka shows up at Grandpa's door, Yuri doesn't know what to think. Pining with a happy ending. The title and chapter titles are all song titles - songs that I felt are appropriate to the chapters / work and that I think Yuri would listen to. For some reason I headcanon him listening to a lot of 80s big hair bands - maybe it's his fashion sense ;-) In any case, I will post each song at the top of its respective chapter.
